individuals. families. communities
You can make a difference in the lives of children and youth and their families who experience poverty, homelessness, community violence and myriad other risk factors that could lead to school failure and poor family functioning. Please consider getting involved through one of the following avenues: donation, internship, volunteerism, career.
Your donation to BACR will go towards services that directly benefit and uplift the communities we serve. Your donation can be made to BACR overall or earmarked for a specific program.
BACR offers a clinical internship and training program in which interns are placed at school sites and are an integral part of a treatment and training team that encourages creativity and growth. Non-clinical internships are also available.
We are looking for motivated individuals to volunteer particularly in our expanded learning programs leading and assisting in activities for children and youth.
Our diverse team includes program leaders and managers, counselors, case managers, and administrative staff.

Celebrate the 24th annual
Lights On Afterschool Oct. 26, 2023!
Launched in October 2000, Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families and communities. The effort has become a hallmark of the afterschool movement and generates media coverage across the country each year.
The Afterschool Alliance organizes Lights On Afterschool to draw attention to the many ways afterschool programs support students by offering them opportunities to learn new things—such as science, community service, robotics, Tae Kwon Do and poetry—and discover new skills. The events send a powerful message that millions more kids need quality afterschool programs.
Follow our social media for a birds-eye view of all BACR afterschool programs are doing to celebrate!
