Shawntel Ridgle

Director of Workforce and Re-Entry Programs

Shawntel brings a wealth of leadership in career education, workforce development, and community partnerships to her role as Executive Director for Workforce and Reentry at BACR. Most recently, she devoted eight years to Napa Valley College within the Career Education and Workforce Development department. During her tenure, she held multiple strategic leadership roles, including Director of Continuing Education and Community Partnerships, Director of the Upper Valley Campus, and Child Development Center Director. In these positions, she successfully bridged academic programming with community needs to build equitable career pathways. Prior to her time in higher education, Shawntel managed early childhood education centers as a Center Director for Bright Horizons Family Solutions.

A Bay Area native, Shawntel completed her undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development before going on to earn her MBA. Outside of her professional life, she is deeply family-oriented, enjoying time with her husband, her two children, and her 26 nieces and nephews. Shawntel is passionate about creating opportunities for upward mobility for people in the margins.

We’re proud to share that BACR earned the Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency — the highest level of recognition offered by Candid (formerly Guidestar). This designation reflects our commitment to transparency, accountability, and impact. It means we go beyond the basics to share detailed information about our work, goals, metrics, and results — because we believe our communities and partners deserve nothing less.
